The "Blackbook Technique" by Joshua Pellicer

Josh Pellicer of The Tao of Badass came up with a technique called "the Backbook technique".

What is this actually?

Josh came up with the "blackbook technique" while trying to remember people's names. The technique allowed him to approach people he never met before, say a couple of things, and then get phone numbers without ever asking for them.

Josh claims that this technique works about 75% of the time.

So how to do this?

As what has been mentioned previously, Josh came up with this technique to avoid forgetting people's names. At first, he heard that Bill Clinton was using the technique of writing people's names in a little book, so he decided to get a little black book, kept it and a pencil in his back pocket while going to bars.

He then tested the technique by approaching people, and then writing up their names in the book. At the beginning, he got some weird responses from some girls like,

"Are you writing a book or something?" or "Why are you writing my name down?".

But eventually he figured out how to respond such questions so he wouldn't get some objections at all.

What did he do exactly?

Instead of just writing down the girls' names, he also wrote a little description, such as:

Jamie: black hair, works at a recording studio, etc.

Frannie: blond hair, student from Switzerland, etc.

Then he wondered if he could use the opportunity for "qualifying". It is where you ask a girl a specific question and she answers them. In the process of answering the question, she starts to "sell" herself to you or try to tell you why you should like her.

So he started to ask,

"What's your name?"

"My name's Amy."

Then he'd go,

"Okay..." and then pulled out his little book and pencil and said,

"I'm really bad with names, so I hope you don't mind if I'm writing your name down."

After writing it down, he said,

"You know, I could write down that you're wearing black shoes but if you change your shoes and if I ever see you again I won't remember who you are. So, what if I write down something about you that I can remember? What do you think of your 3 most positive dominant qualities?"

The "3 most positive dominant qualities" question was the qualifying question so he started to write the stuff down.

After that, he put the book in his back pocket again.

The girl didn't realize that she just "sold" herself to Josh. So now he could push forward and continue the interaction.

But then he realized that if he handed down the book and the pencil, the girl would do something phenomenal. She wrote:

1. Responsible
2. Spontaneous
3. Her phone number (plus her e-mail address)

Josh just realized something amazing just happened. He didn't even ask for her phone number!

Even though the girl saw that there were other names in the book, she wasn't hesitate because Josh already said that he was bad with names.

A couple of girls did hesitate after seeing other peoples' names in the book, but he just said that "Yeah, I'm really bad with names so I have to do this for everybody."

So he decided to try the technique again and again, and he kept getting girls' phone numbers without even asking for them.

He then got another black book with nothing in it and started from scratch.

This "black book technique" is very powerful. If you want to learn how to pick up girls from Josh Pellicer, you can get his proven Get "Tao of Badass".
